The 2011 Bearcats (7-1) are off to the best start of any Bearcat football team since 1987; and we all remember the great teams of ‘86 & ’87 - current head coach Aaron Pixley's junior and senior years - that won 21 games and made 2 appearances in the State Playoffs. If you have not gotten the chance to witness the Dexter Bearcat football team in action this year, then you most definitely need to put that on your list of “things to do”. Trust me…they are well worth the price of admission.
The offensive numbers that these guys are putting up this season is the stuff that statisticians dream of. Week by week, the points that the Bearcats score are rising faster than the Federal Deficit, and long-standing records are falling faster than the Cardinals' post-season opponents.
I would like to share a few random, yet entertaining, stats:
As the season progresses, I will try and uncover more obscure and random Bearcat stats to share with you.
At the end of the season, I will certainly have some phenomenal individual statistics to share as well.
The 2011 Bearcats have a high-powered offense, and the coaching staff has them firing on all cylinders. But don’t take my word for it…come out and watch them for yourselves!

There are two more regular-season games remaining on the schedule, both of which have playoff implications for the 'Cats. The Bearcats will travel to NMCC this Friday night for a contest with the Eagles, and we need to fill the visitor’s stands to capacity.
The regular season finale will be held on Thursday night, October 27th at Charles Bland Stadium in Dexter. The Bearcats will be squaring off against the Blackcats from Fredericktown in a District battle.
Come out and show your support for the Bearcat Football team…they are certainly deserving of it!
